Bud has been a long time resident of Alexandria and a licensed funeral director for over 35 years. He has dedicated himself to serving others in their greatest time of need. 

A native of Madison County, he has been active in many community and civic organizations. Bud has served as a past president of the Alexandria Service Club and the Independent Funeral Directors of Indiana. He is currently a member of the Alexandria Service Club, Independent Funeral Directors of Indiana, Indiana Funeral Directors Association, Alexandria Elks Lodge, Alexandria Lodge #235, F&AM, and Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. 

Bud frequently serves as a guest lecturer and commencement speaker at numerous funeral service colleges and related groups. Bud is married to Susan R. (Hueston) Whetsel and is the father of four children.

Susan, the daughter of Larry and Sue Hueston, is a native of Madison County and a lifetime resident of Alexandria. She graduated from Alexandria Monroe High School in 1980 and Apex Beauty School of Cosmetology in 1981 and has been a licensed cosmetologist for over 30 years. 

Susan currently serves as the office coordinator for Whetsel Funeral Service as well as a family service caregiver. She is passionate about helping others, often volunteers with local community groups, and is a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Susan is married to Bud Whetsel, and the two have four children. 

Wendy is a native of Madison County and a graduate of Madison Grant High School. Before retiring, she worked as the Client Services Branch Manager at Mainsource Bank. 

Wendy now works at the funeral home and welcomes the opportunity to assist you with all of your pre-need funeral arrangements. She can also assist in Funeral Trust Transfers from any other funeral home.

A 30-year resident of Alexandria, Wendy is a former board member and secretary of the Alexandria Chamber, and she attends Connection Pointe Apostolic Church in Anderson. 

Wendy is married to Alexandria Native David Montgomery, and they have 2 children, Clint and Victoria, and 3 grandchildren: Braylon, Aaron, and Lily. 

In addition to serving as a funeral assistant, Steve is the Assistant Fire Chief at the Alexandria Fire Department. He is also a member of the Alexandria Service Club and Bethany Christian Church. Steve and his wife, Jennifer, are the parents of three children.

Brian completed his mortuary science degree at Mid-America College of Funeral Service, and he is currently participating in his internship here at Whetsel Funeral Service.

He is a member of the Shirley United Methodist Church and has served as Lay Pastor with the United Methodist Church. Brian and his wife, Debbie, have two children. 

Mary, a lifelong resident of Alexandria, is wife to Tom Mottweiler and a mother of two with several grandchildren. She is a faithful member of Cornerstone Community Church and a compassionate and giving person. We are very pleased to have her on staff with us.

Tom, a lifelong resident of Alexandria, has been a member of the Whetsel Funeral Service staff for over 12 years. He is a member of the Cornerstone Community Church and is active in many of the church's ministries. He is also a member of Alexander Bright Post 87 of the American Legion. 

Tom is married to Mary (Savage) Mottweiller. They have two children and five grandchildren.

Norman was a member of the Whetsel Funeral Service staff for over 17 years. He is greatly missed by all of us.
