Cheryl A Kettery, 61 of Alexandria died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020 at her residence after an extended illness while in the company of her family.

Cheryl was born in Fishers, IN on Aug. 6, 1958 and was the daughter of Keith Lynch, Sr. and Mary Lee (Robinson) Lynch-Hurst who have preceded her in death.

She was retired from the United States Post Office in Oaklandon, IN after 10 years of service.

Cheryl was an avid gardener. She always loved spending time planting and caring for her flowers and enjoying their beauty.

She was a member of the Alexandria Community Church and Alexandria Elks Lodge 478.

Left to carry on her legacy of love is her husband, Tony Kettery, her son, Nathan (Jody) Statzer, step-sons, Jason (Christine) Kettery and John (Gina) Kettery; her brothers, Dale (Gloria) Lynch and Keith (Kris) Lynch, Jr.; her sister, Patricia Sinnott and special nephew, Sean Kilgore. Also surviving are six grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Cheryl’s life will be held on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Pat Robbins officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery, Yorktown. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and one prior to the service on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the Alexandria Community Church, 10963 N Walnut St., Alexandria, IN 46001 or in care of the funeral home.
