Cletis Murry Thurston, 85 died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018 in St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
He was born in Marion, Indiana on May 20, 1933 and was the son of Cletis and Lucille (Drake) Thurston.
Murry was a retired car salesman from Ayers Pontiac in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He attended the Summitville United Methodist Church.
Murry was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Army.
Survivors are his children, Ken (Tamblyn) Thurston, Andy (Jamie) Thurston, Melanie (Bill) Hafer and Dee Anna (Curt) Stitt. He is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S Park Ave., Alexandria with Rev. Dan Tucker officiating.
