David L. Jordan, 49 of Alexandria died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at his residence
David was born in Anderson on May 21, 1964 and was the son of Willard and Wanda (McCune) Jordan. On July 21, 1990 he married Joan (Glotzbach) Jordan.
David was employed as a Paint Mix Technician at Paint and Assembly in Elwood for 19 years and was later employed at Plastec of Elwood.
David is survived by his wife of 23 years, Joan, his mother, Wanda Jordan-Odom- Alexandria, a step-brother, Don (Lynda) Odom-Alexandria, four step-sisters, Barbara Allen and Donna Schacht both of Alexandria, Linda Hysong-Lawton, OK, Jamey Helms-Tucson, AZ. Father and Mother –in –law, Ed and Gert Glotzbach-Alexandria, Sisters and brothers in law, Donna (Iseral) Flatford-Alexandria and Kathy (Jim) Broyles-Gosport, IN. Also surviving are special nieces and nephew, Emily Patz, Angie Jackson and Jacob Flatford, special friend, Jim Cooper and several cousins.
David was preceded in death by his father, Willard “Willie” Jordan and his step-father, Jim Odom.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Fr. Dan Duff officiating. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Tipton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
