Donald McClish

Donald L McClish, 78, of Alexandria died Sunday, March 5, 2017 at his residence after an extended illness while surrounded by his family.
Donald was born in Alexandria on Dec. 6, 1938 and was the son of Fred N. and Opal P. (McCune) McClish. On Jan. 27, 1965 he married Mary (Legg) McClish who preceded him in death on Oct. 1, 2005.
Donald was retired from the Fibrex Corporation formally of Alexandria. He was a member of the Alexandria Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by his children, Robert (Vickie Carter) McClish, Donald (Christina) McClish, Laura (Quiller) Kelly, Tammy (Wayne Couch) McClish, two grandchildren whom Donald and Mary raised Micheal McClish and Heather Allen, a sister, Faye (Bud) Beemer. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary, a son, Curtis McClish, brothers, Fred McClish, Bobby McClish and a sister, Mary Cook.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria with Bud Whetsel officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call at Whetsel Funeral Service on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
