Hester Arlene Rickard, 75 died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 in Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
Arlene was born in Anderson, IN on Dec. 1, 1938 and was the daughter of Arthur and Irma (Bratten) Swinford. In 1958 she married Max B. Rickard, who preceded her in death in 1987.
Arlene attended the Cross Church in Anderson.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie (Cathy) Rickard of Frankton, her daughter, Tonya R. Rickard of Alexandria, a brother, Floyd Swinford of Muncie. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Michael Rickard, Bobby Goodman, Brent Goodman, Bryant Goodman, Ashley Ferden, great-grandchildren, Quinn Rickard, Zayne Rickard, Rider Goodman, Cole Goodman, Helen Goodman, Sofia Goodman, Isbella Goodman, Zoey Goodman, Jasmine Goodman, Trey Goodman, Benjamin Ferden and special friends, Rosie and Bob.
Funeral services for Arlene will be on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Jerry Hilligoss officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Florida Station Church, 1045 W 375 N , Anderson, IN 46011 or in care of the funeral home.
