Janice Cavins

Janice Lynn Cavins, 76 of Alexandria left this life to her eternal home on Tuesday. Sept. 20, 2022, in Community Hospital East, Indianapolis after an extended illness.

She was born in Tipton, IN on Aug. 29, 1946, and was the daughter of Charles and Vella (Bouse) Raines.

Janice was retired from Kennedy Tool & Die, Alexandria where she worked as machine operator. She was a member of the of Tree of Life Ministries, Marion, IN.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Shawn Morgan, Settle, WA; her daughter, Dawn (Sam) Gaddis, Alexandria; a brother, Ronnie (Susie) Raines, Anderson, and sister Linda (David) Glass, Alexandria. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Dustin, Jordan, Kaylee, John, Japheth, and Jonah: nine great-grandchildren, Zachariah, Ethan, Sierra, Davin, Owen, Christina, Scarlett, Christopher, and Aiden.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Phillip Raines.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Park Ave. Chapel, Alexandria. During the gathering, cards will be available for family and friends to write a brief memory of Janice for her family.
