Joann M Spencer, 90 of Alexandria died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021 in the Alexandria Care Center after an extended illness.
Joann was born in Alexandria, Indiana on Oct. 16, 1930 and was the daughter of Pearl and Irene (Lorson) Spencer.
She lived in Alexandria all her life and was a lifetime member of the Church of St. Mary’s in Alexandria.
Joann had been a self-employed beautician for 16 years, later she was employed in the St. John’s Hospital business office where she retired after 23 years of service.
She enjoyed crafting and making rosaries for the men and women serving in the military.
Joann is survived by several cousins.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria with Bud Whetsel officiating. Burial will follow the service.
