Joy Locke

Joy E. Locke, 59 of Anderson, was carried off by angels to her reward in Heaven on Dec. 30, 2020 in Ascension St. Vincent’s Regional Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.

Joy was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on Dec. 4, 1961 and was the daughter of John and Mary Alice (Dickerson) Locke.

She was a member of the Bible Holiness Church, Summitville and love her Lord and served Him by praying for others in need. She was formerly employed at Emerson Technology in Mt. Comfort, IN.

Those left to cherish her memory is her brothers and sisters, Beth (Everett) Baugh, Patti (Jeff) Beardsley, Lisa (Doug) Hiser, Sue Lauck, Michael (Brenda) Pressler, Mickey Kilgore and John (Brenda) Lauck; her special friend, Marla Moore; and several nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robin Klopfenstein, Brett Kilgore and Charles Louck.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021 in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Later she will be interred with her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial gifts be given to the funeral home to help defray Joy’s final expenses.

Due to the current health conditions and in accordance with the state’s mandate, facial covering is required, and social distancing will be observed.
