Melissa D. (Horgos) Weaver, 42 died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a brief illness.
Melissa was born on July 27, 1970 and was the daughter of John A. and Ardonna S. (French) Horgos.
Melissa was retired from Cox’s Supermarket, Alexandria. She was a member of the First Christian Church and Monroe Fellowship Chapel both of Alexandria.
Melissa was a loving Mother, Daughter and wife and always enjoyed spending time with her family. One of her passions was doing crafts and expressing her artistic talents.
Left to cherish her memory is her Husband, Claud, her children, Jerod Weaver, Andrew Weaver and Cayse Weaver all of Alexandria. Her Parents, John and Ardonna Horgos of Orestes.. A Brother, Daniel R. Horgos of Austin, TX, two Sisters, Debbie Schroder of Tuson, AZ and Arlinda Etchison of Frankton.
A service to celebrate Melissa’s life will be held on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 in the First Christian Church, 215 W. Berry St., Alexandria at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Julia Bratton officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends are invited to call at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The family requests memorials be made to Whetsel Funeral Service to help with final expenses.
