Patty Lou Rush, 66 of Alexandria died Thursday, June 26, 2014 in Community Northview Care Center, Anderson after an extended illness.
Patty was born in Anderson on September 16, 1947 and was the daughter of Ernest and June (Ferguson) McCarty. On March 21, 1986 she married Danny Rush who survives.
She lived her whole life in Alexandria. She graduated from Alexandria-Monroe High School in 1965. Patty loved to travel and enjoyed taking rides in the country.
Patty had retired as a cashier from Family Dollar and Village Pantry.
Left to cherish her memory is one son, Michael (Lisa) Gross, three daughters, Michelle (Doug) Rowland, Melissa (Jason) Brizendine and Misty (Jay) Mallette, two sisters, Susie Bronner and Kathy Sizelove. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will Monday, June 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Bud Whetsel officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
