Phyllis E. (Cummings) Tinch, 66 of Alexandria died Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the Alexandria Care Center after an extended illness.
Phyllis was born in Anderson, IN on Dec. 17, 1947 and was the daughter of Richard and Betty (Robertson) Cummings. She was retired from Goodwin Wire Co.in Alexandria.
Survivors include her two daughters, Dana (Donnie) Kendall and Jama (Jeff Johnson) Tinch both of Alexandria, two brothers, Randy Barnett and Michael Barnett both of Florida, a sister, Opal Dutcheau of Alexandria, cousins, Tavonia Cummings and John Cummings. Also surviving are six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will Monday, June 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Pastor Dale Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
