Richard Armstrong

Richard K. Armstrong, 63, of Alexandria died Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Alexandria Care Center of Alexandria after an extended illness. Mr. Armstrong was born December 8, 1954 in Buffalo, NY and was the son of the late Robert and Jeanette (Du Quette) Armstrong.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. He was retired from Hoosiersland Campground.

Richard enjoyed listening to country music and singing karaoke.

He is survived by his son: Michael S Slate; Step Daughter, Carole Qualls; Step Daughter, Angela Smith; Step Son, LeRoy Ganow; a brother, Robert Armstrong and a sister, Barbara Doyle, 11 grandchildren two great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 South Park Ave., Alexandria. Cremation will follow.
