William J. “Bill” Webb, 59 of Alexandria died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 near Champaign, IL from injuries suffered in an auto accident.
Bill was born in Louisville, KY on May 17, 1954 and was the son of William and Betty J. (VanHorn) Webb. He attended Alexandria-Monroe High School. He was a truck driver and was employed by Dohrn Transfer Co. of Rock Island, IL.
Bill was a member of the former Alexandria Pentecostal Church where he gave himself to his Savior and was baptized at the age of six years old.
Surviving is his mother, Betty J. Webb of Alexandria, a brother, David (Jackye) Reed of Wickenburg, AZ, two sisters, Cindy Witsken of Indianapolis and Patricia Evans of Lago Vista, TX.
Funeral services for Bill will be Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Pastor Dale Watson officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
