Amanda Michelle Bland-Wilkerson

Amanda Michelle Bland-Wilkerson, age 39, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Community Hospital Anderson in Anderson, Indiana.

Amanda was born on March 5, 1987, in Anderson, Indiana, to Matt and Michelle Parnell Schott. She was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School.

Amanda found joy in her work as a retail clerk at Goodwill. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing with her father and mushroom hunting. Amanda loved to out-fish her dad, and those moments became treasured memories for her family.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Matt Schott and Michelle Schott; her daughter, Leanna Houts; her son, Kevin "KJ" Wilkinson; her sisters, Bonnie Anderson and her husband, Mike, Donna Pruitt and her husband, Bryan, Bridget Schott, and Bridget Bailey; her brothers, Stephen "Bub" Parnell and Matthew Schott; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eddie and Francis Parnell and Pete and Mary Schott.

Private cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 South Park Avenue, Alexandria, Indiana. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Starr Cemetery, 406 West 1300 North, Alexandria, Indiana.
