Carl F. "Bud" Beemer, Jr., age 94, of Alexandria, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Alexandria Health and Rehabilitation in Alexandria, Indiana.
Bud was born on July 14, 1932, to Carl F. and Beulah (Ritter) Beemer, Sr. He attended St. Mary School and Alexandria High School before joining the United States Air Force in 1949 at the age of 17. Bud proudly served his country during the Korean War and was a Korean War veteran.
On October 16, 1954, Bud married Faye McClish. They would have celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on October 16, 2026.
Bud worked at Delco Remy, Donahue Gas, and Rock Wool before retiring in 1989.
Bud had many talents and was always willing to put them to use for others. He was an accomplished baker and confectioner, especially known for his pies, pecan rolls, and candy. He was also a gifted woodworker and made countless items for family, friends, and people throughout the community.
If something needed fixed, Bud was usually willing to give it a try. Over the years, he worked on many lawnmowers for people throughout the community and spent countless hours helping with maintenance at St. Mary Catholic Church and School. One of the projects he was especially proud of was the renovation of the church alongside Jim Clever.
Bud was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing trips to Michigan and Minnesota. Of all the places he could be, though, one of his favorites was simply sitting on his porch.
Bud was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Alexandria Eagles Aerie #1771, and the American Legion.
