Connie R. Stevens

Connie R. Stevens, 71, passed away on November 25, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on December 20, 1953 and resided in Elwood.

Throughout her life, Connie was a homemaker who also took on different small jobs as needed. She was active in her community through the American Legion Auxiliary in Elwood and the Elwood Conservation Club. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Elks Lodge, where she rarely missed a chance to join in. Shopping was another pastime she loved, especially when it came to finding the perfect pair of shoes.

Connie is survived by her sisters, Betty Adkins and Joyce Deavers; her daughter, Catherine Alcantar; her grand-daughters, Marissa Craib, Zara Sanders, and Schylar Vanness; grandson, Devin Thomas, along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Stevens; her father, Herbert Justice, Sr.; her mother, Mary Justice; and her brother, Herbert Justice, Jr.

Cremation will take place. Her family will remember her for who she was in their lives and the routines and traditions they shared with her.
