Danny Ray Gray, aged 88, of Alexandria, Indiana, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis after an extended illness.
Born on July 8, 1937, in McComb, Illinois, Danny was the beloved son of Lyle Elmer and Nina Rosella (Heap) Gray. He married the love of his life, Teana (Silvey) Gray, on November 2, 1996.
Danny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1965, achieving the rank of Captain before receiving an honorable discharge. During his service, he furthered his education by earning a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Alaska.
In his professional career, Danny made significant contributions as the hospital engineer at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital, from which he later retired.
He attended the East Side Church of God in Anderson, Danny's faith and commitment to community were evident throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teana (Silvey) Gray; stepsons, Jeff (Sherry) Adams and Tom (Shannon) Adams; his brother, Roger (Terri) Gray; and his cherished granddaughter, Mackenzie (Zach) Moody.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ron Gray and Jim Gray, as well as his sister, Elaine France.
Private family services will be held in his honor.
