Deborah Frances Walker, 76 of rural Elwood left this world to her Heavenly home on Friday, October 17, 2025, while surrounded by her loving family in Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Hospital after an extended illness.
Deborah was born on March 21, 1949, in Anderson, Indiana and was the daughter of Charles F. and Alma F. (Huffer) Hiday. She was a member of the Florida Station Church of God.
She retired from RCA, Marion after 32 years of service. She later was employed at Ambu.
Deborah was an avid bowler and had participated in several bowling leagues. She loved working on the family farm, raising Llamas and goats. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren at the llama shows. One of Deborah’s favorite things was going to the wineries with her daughters and sampling. And enjoying her time with the grandchildren while sharing their Starbucks drinks.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Walker of Elwood, her daughters, Diana (Lawrence) Dye of Lafayette and Denise (Steve) Bloyd of Middletown. Also surviving are grandchildren, Stevie, Shelby, Kilyn, Ellie and James and great-grandchild, Bracycen; and two sisters, Phyllis Evans of Alamba and Sarah Bass of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Tracy Walker in 2011.
A celebration of Life will be held later.
Bud & Susan Whetsel of Whetsel Funeral Service is honored to care for Deborah and to serve the Walker once again.
