Gilbert L. “Butch” Zapfe, 73 of Alexandria died on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born in Greensburg, IN on Aug. 5, 1947 and was the son of Howard and Betty (Simpson) Zapfe.
Butch enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.
He was a self-employed carpenter. Butch was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the Untied States Air Force.
He is survivied by his wife, Beverly (Stafford) Zapfe, his children, Charles Zapfe, Talina, Patrick (Lori) Zapfe, BJ Zapfe, Christina DeWitt, Ben (Whitney) Gosnell and Paisha (John) Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been selected and no public services will be held.
