Pamela Jo Ashby

Pamela "Pam" Jo Ashby, age 71, of Alexandria, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at her residence.

Pam was born on April 15, 1955, in Anderson, Indiana, to Joseph Ashby and Macel (Mabbitt) Holaday. She graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1973 and later attended Ivy Tech Community College.

On January 27, 2015, Pam married Vicki Hisle after 25 years together. They shared a total of 36 years of love, companionship, and cherished memories.

Pam was a talented musician with a natural love for music. She taught herself to play the guitar, eventually mastering the lead guitar. She also enjoyed playing the keyboard and singing. Music was a special part of her life and one of the many ways she expressed her creativity.

Pam also had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved cat, Skeet, and dog, Molly, who held a special place in her heart.

Pam is survived by her spouse, Vicki Ashby; sisters, Robyn Eytchison and Kelly Ashby; sisters-in-law, Lisa Fortune and Lena Holaday; brother-in-law, Rick (Terri) Hisle; nephews, Jeremiah, Darian, Kameron, Yehven, and James; and niece, Erica.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Ashby and Macel Holaday; her brothers, Doug Ashby, Mark Holaday, and Charlie Holaday; and her son, Korey Fowler.

Private cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 South Park Avenue, Alexandria, Indiana.
