Pamela K. Thompson, 75, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Edgewater Woods, Anderson, Indiana after an extended illness.
Pam was born in Summitville, Indiana on May 2, 1950, and was the daughter of Clyde and Ruby (Maxwell) Smith. She later married Steve Thompson on February 15, 1969.
Pam was retired from the Alexandria Care Center as a Nurse’s Aide.
She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the times spent at Diamond Lake. She was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for her family.
Her legacy of love and family will be carried on by her two sons, Kenny (Lea Ann) Thompson and Kevin Thompson; her brother, Doug (Pam) Smith; her sisters, Marileen Meador and Susie (John) Goldsberry. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jordan (Manna) Thompson, Bridget Thompson and Khole Thompson, step-grandchildren, Mark (Leanna) Hall, Kurt Hall, Eric Hall, Kyle Hall, great-grandchildren, Layne Snyder, Remington Thompson, Reagan Thompson, Barrett Thompson, Jameson Prince, Caleb Hall and Amelia Cunningham,
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Steve Thompson,brothers, Robert "Bud" Smith, Phil (Sue) Smith, infant brother, Jackie Smith and sisters, Elizabeth "Sis" Rodney and Faye Smith.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, in Whetsel Funeral Service, Park Ave. Chapel, Alexandria from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial gifts be made to the family to help defray final service expenses.
