Rodolfo Cuellar

Rodolfo "Rudy" Cuellar, 85, of Orestes, passed away on August 25, 2026, at his residence.

Rudy was born on June 18, 1941, in Laredo, Texas, the son of Cleofas Cuellar and Guadalupe Martinez Cuellar.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Rudy later worked as a laborer for RCA/Thomson Consumer Electronics, dedicating 44 years of service before retiring.

On March 25, 1977, Rudy married Bonnie (Clark) Cuellar, and the two shared more than 41 years together before her passing on September 8, 2018.

Rudy was a member of Innisdale United Brethren Church. He enjoyed NASCAR and was especially a fan of Jeff Gordon. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed cheering on his team.

He is survived by his son, Brian (Leslie) Fuller; grandchildren, Ashley (Gus) Shapper, Cody Lynch, and Justin Lynch; great-grandchildren, RaeLynn Pinkerton, Brayley Freeman, and Shila Lynch; along with extended family and friends.

Rudy was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Cuellar; his parents, Cleofas and Guadalupe Cuellar; brothers, Ernesto Cuellar, Humberto Mendoza, Cleofas Cuellar, Jr., and Cleofas Cuellar II; and sisters, Trinidad Martinez, Guadalupe Ezquibel, Maria del Refugio Galvan, Zulema Mata, and Tomasita Cuellar.

Private cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S. Park Avenue, Alexandria, Indiana.

Bud and Susan Whetsel, along with the entire Whetsel Funeral Service staff, are honored to care for the Cuellar family during this time.
