Sophia Grace, age 13, passed peacefully, leaving behind a paw-print shaped space in the hearts of all who loved her, especially her devoted human mommy, Melissa Meador, who was the center of Sophia’s world.
Sophia was known for her playful spirit and her love of squeaky toys and rope toys, which brought her endless joy. She treasured her adventures traveling with her mommy and could always be counted on for an excited visit to the water office or CVS, especially when treats were involved. A true connoisseur of comfort food, Sophia also held a special place in her heart for McDonald’s.
When it came time to rest, Sophia was happiest wherever Melissa was. She could also be found curled up on the couch, stretched out on the futon, or cozily tucked underneath it. Her gentle presence brought warmth and comfort to every space she claimed.
Sophia was deeply loved by her extended human family: Randall Shirley, Misty Hamm, Vanessa Hamm, Sahara Devore, Ollie and Theo, Mammaw, Benton & Meliah, Aaron Meador, and Elaina and Easton, all of whom shared in the laughter and joy she brought into their lives.
She also held a special bond with dear friends Don and Jan Malston and Robert Thomas, who delighted in spoiling her with treats and meals, reinforcing Sophia’s firm belief that she was, and always would be, cherished.
Sophia Grace lived a life full of love, treats, adventures, and companionship. Though her paws are no longer heard padding through the house, her spirit remains in the countless memories she created and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
