Tina Lynn Stanley, 60 of Alexandria left this life to her eternal home on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023 in Community Hospital, after extended illness, while in the company of her loving family.
Tina was born in Anderson on Jun. 13, 1962 and was the daughter of James and Lynne (Chaney) King. She was a 1980 graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School. Tina went on to further her education by graduating from PCI in 1981 and Ivy Tech Nursing School in 1995. She was employed as a LPN at the Selah House in Anderson.
She was a member of the Christian Congregation Church, Alexandria, the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She served on the Alexandria-Monroe Community School Board for eight years. Tina was avid supporter of Alexandria-Monroe High School Athletics.
Tina loved her family and always enjoyed spending time with them, but her most treasured role in life was being Mimi to her three grandchildren, Kamden, Madelyn and Parker.
Those left to carry on her legacy of love are her daughters, Lauren (Jeremy) Ormsby and Megan (Brent) Smith; her husband, Dan Stanley; her brother, Bryan (Monica)King; her sister, LeeAnne (Dennis) Fisher; her precious grandchildren, Kamden and Madelyn Ormsby and Parker Smith.; her nieces, Madison McQuitty, Maya King, Melia King, Josi Fisher; her nephews, Jack Fisher, Bryce King, Brennan King and Blaise King. Her uncle, Bob (Terri) Chaney and several cousins and several special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lynn King.
A service to celebrate Tina’s life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. in the Christian Congregation Church, 11015 N 300 E, Alexandria, IN. with Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Interment will follow in IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria, IN. The family will receive family and friends on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Whetsel Funeral Service, Park Ave.,Chapel, 1503 S Park Ave., Alexandria, IN and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
