Wayne F Stokes

Wayne F. Stokes, 78, of Anderson, passed away on August 26, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Wayne was born on September 22, 1947, the son of Charles and Nova (Jones) Stokes.

He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Wayne later worked for E&B Paving and Meredith Paschal Concrete.

Wayne enjoyed spending time visiting his favorite "clubs," including the VFW and the Polish Club.

He is survived by his two sons, Wade (Amanda) Stokes and Seth (Marcia) Stokes; grandchildren, Abigail, Erin, and Aidan; brother, Travis Stokes; and sister, Donna Pennington.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nova Stokes; brother, Kenneth Stokes; and sisters, Joyce Eastman and Carolyn Todd.

Private cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 South Park Avenue, Alexandria, Indiana.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Alexandria, Indiana.
