Licensed Funeral Director
Bud has been a long time resident of Alexandria has been a licensed funeral director for over 35 years. He has dedicated himself to serving others in their greatest time of need.
A native of Madison County, he has been active in community and civic organizations. Bud has served as a past president of the Alexandria Service Club and the Independent Funeral Directors of Indiana. He is currently a member of the Alexandria Service Club, Independent Funeral Directors of Indiana, Indiana Funeral Directors Assn., Alexandria Elks Lodge, Alexandria Lodge #235, F& A.M., and Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church.
Bud frequently serves as a guest lecturer and Commencement speaker at numerous funeral service colleges and related groups.
Bud is married to Susan R. (Hueston) Whetsel, and the father of four children.
Susan is a native of Madison County and a lifetime resident of Alexandria. The daughter of Larry and Sue Hueston. She is 1980 graduate of Alexandria Monroe High School and a 1981 graduate of Apex Beauty School of Cosmetology and has been a licensed cosmetologist for over 30 years.
Susan currently serves as the office coordinator for Whetsel Funeral Service as well as a family service caregiver.
Susan has a passion for helping others and often volunteers with local community groups. She is a member of the Summitville Fire Dept. Auxillary and Glad Tidings Assembley of God Church. Susan is married to Bud Whetsel and the mother of four children.
Licensed Funeral Director and Licensed Advanced Planning Agent
Larry is a Alexandria native and has been a licensed funeral director for 47 years and is also a Indiana licensed insurance agent. During those years he has served area families with compassion and integrity.
Larry is married to Karen (Cunningham) Scott and is the father of two daughters, Brenda J. McMahan and Amy J Cox and is the grandfather of five grandchildren.
Should you have any questions or need any assistance in funeral services, pre-need funeral arrangements or the transferring of funeral arrangements from another funeral home, Larry welcomes the opportunity to continue to serve the area families he has served for over the past 30 years.
Licensed Advance Planning Agent
Wendy is a native of Madison County and a 30 year resident of Alexandria. She graduated from Madison Grant High School and is currently the Client Services Branch Manager at MainSource Bank in Alexandria. Wendy serves on the board of the Alexandria Chamber as Secretary. She attends Connection Pointe Apostolic Church in Anderson. She is a licensed life insurance.
She is married to Alexandria Native, David Montgomery. They have 2 children, Clint and Victoria as well as 1 grandson Braylon.
Wendy welcomes the opportunity to assist you with all of your pre-need funeral arrangements. She can also assist in Funeral Trust Transfers from any other funeral home.
Licensed Grief Counselor
Nancy is a licensed counselor by the State of Indiana. She has many years of educational and counseling experience.
Nancy leads our Coffee & Comfort monthly grief support group. She also is available for private counseling as well.
Nancy's firm christian faith and her years of serving people the needs of others makes her a wonderful and valuable member of our staff.
Tom is life long resident of Alexandria. He is a member of the Cornerstone Community Church where is active in many of the church's ministries. He is also a member of Alexander Bright Post 87 of the American Legion. Tom has been a member of the Whetsel Funeral Service staff for over 12 years.
Tom is married to Mary(Savage) Mottweiller and is the father of two and the grandfather of five.
Steve is a member of the Alexandria Fire Dept. where he serves as the Assistant Fire Chief. He is a member of the Alexandria Service Club and Bethany Christian Church.
Steve and his wife Jennifer are the parents of three children.
Adam is a member of the Alexandria Fire Dept where he serves as a Firefighter/Paramedic.He also serves as a Madison Co. Deputy Coroner. He is a member of Alexandria Eagles Lodge and attends the Christian Congregation Church and is active in many community projects.
Adam along with his wife Megan are the parents of Colin and Lincoln.
Jeff is a lifelong resident of Alexandria. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Alexandria-Monroe Chamber of Commerce and is active in several civic organizations in the community and currently serves on the Alexandria City Council.
Jeff and his wife Jenny are members of the First Christan Church and are the parents of a daughter and one grandchild.
Jeff is a longtime Alexandria resident and is retired from General Motors. He is married to Jana (Pruden) Kiphart and they are the parents of one son, Zachary (Bobbi) and Grandparents of Jackson.
Funeral AssistantCody is lifetime resident of Alexandria. He graduated from Alexandria Monroe high school in 2011 and graduated from Ivy Tech with associates degree in criminal justice,in 2014. He is currently employed at the Madison County Correctional Complex.
Brian is a life long resident of Alexandria. He is a member of the Alexandria Fire Dept. where he serves as the Fire Chief, Firefighter/Paramedic. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Community Center and the Alexandria Planning Commission. Brian along with his wife Melinda are the parents of four children.
Norman R Parr 1928 - 2014
Norman had been a member of the Whetsel Funeral Service staff for over 17 years. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
